Safemove Express couriers llc., have integrated the claim process with an insurance company and made it more professional. As per the insurance company’s norms, we would charge 10dhs per parcel for insurance.
Following are the criteria of claim process:
a)A missing or lost parcel will only be declared as such after an investigation process has been made, and nothing has been found at any of the possible depots and after DPD/Fedex/ UPS official declaration. It might take a while for the company to consider your parcel as lost. This period really depends on DPD/ Fedex/UPS/DHL.
b)A claim must be presented with a statement describing the goods in the parcel, and how the amount of the claim was determined. This statement should be supported with the following details:
•The date of shipping;
• Parcel number;
• Details concerning the parcel, such as measurements and weight;
• Address information;
• Description of the content;
• Your contact information;
• A copy of the vendor's original invoice or other document to establish the value of the goods.
c) The claim settlement will be done within 10 working days from the date of claim submission. The original invoice will be assessed and verified. If the provided information in the invoice is found to be false, then the declared invoice value would not be considered and by default, the claim settlement amount would be 2000dhs per parcel.
d) A mail for the investigation process should be sent within 7 days from the estimated delivery date. Any mails on investigation process after 7days of estimated delivery date will not be accepted and any mails on claim without investigation process mail will not be accepted.
e) Maximum amount given for the claim settlement is 5000dhs per parcel.
f) If any shipment gets damage in transit/ delivered in damaged condition, we will not take responsibility for the same even if the shipment is insured. There will not be any claim given for damaged items.
If not insured, the claim amount for the lost shipment will be 100$ as per FedEx and 100£ as per DPD irrespective of the items and weight.
Circumstances Beyond SMX ‘s Control
Safemove Express Courier llc is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of circumstances beyond our control. These include “Force Majeure” - e.g. earthquake, cyclone, storm, flood, fog, war, plane crash, embargo, riot, civil commotion, or industrial action.
